Given Venezuela's longstanding claims to two-thirds of Guyana's landmass, coupled with the Venezuelan authorities' recent admission they had shot, and killed, a Guyanese miner suspected of smuggling, President Bharrat Jagdeo's meeting with a Venezuelan delegation on 11 October went surprisingly well.
